Captains as of 7:30pm gathered and voted upon rule changes. The only decisions made were:
- Stay unsanctioned by ACS at least until the next season begins.
- Acquire a Perpetual Placard for placement of 1st Place Team and Top Shooter nameplates at the end of each season.
- Bring back a budget for acquiring those nameplates.
- We agreed to keep rule 23E which stipulates that at least a 3rd of the season will need to have been played for prize money to be awarded based on standings. The rule is a bit more elaborate than that regarding detail, but that’s the gist of it.
NOTE: An opening night subsequent meeting / vote will be needed among captains to:
1) verify the League Operator’s wording of decisions 2 and 3 above (see newly posted rule #23A).
2) decide on the placard size and its funding source(s).
Key points
- Signups resulted in 8 teams by the end of the night – with the 8th team blended together from people who entered the venue without a team.
- The season will begin on Thursday 10Sep2020.
- Any other teams are welcome to join, but the deadline to notify the League Operator is Tuesday 08Sep2020::8PM Chicago time. That same deadline also applies to roster changes among the already signed-up 8 teams. Open Sub-slot filling is permitted through week 3 by virtue of rule 19B (Autumn 2020 rules are not yet posted, but that will be its number).
Other Notes
- There are 16 players who skipped at least the Summer 2020 season and have now returned (according to the current rosters) as regulars.
- Among them, Kevin G was new and improved.
Raffle Status
- Jon W (welcome back) made one on the break. The final ball to stop rolling was the 2-ball which partially obscured a shot at the 1-ball. Jon elicited advice from the crowd. He made a clean hit on the target, but it merely went to the southeast rail and returned from where it came.
- Brian S (welcome back) had an uneventful break shot.
- The pot will ROLLOVER to opening night of the season.
