Outstanding outing(s):

1. Alex O and Mona T had their first 80s for this season and Norberto E ended last season with an 80 and started this season with an 80!
2. Julian F and Tony C each scored 77.

RAFFLE Status:

1. Phil P, Table 3; picked 1st time this season since week 09 of last season, broke DRY!

3. None of our 15 teams had less than four players active – except Frenetic Ferrets who had their BYE this week.
4. Reminder that empty sub slots can still be filled but only through 11pm on Week 03 (Nov 05 this season).  After that any roster replacements must meet the criteria of Rule 20.F.
5. Bears beat Patriots 30-24 in the NFL Thurs Night game. GO BEARS!

The official signup for the general public concluded with 15 teams enrolled.  The season will end on 25Feb2027’s Party night.  Also, because we have 15 teams playing this season, we will have a BYE each week which will be available for those off on a BYE on table 17.

If any other individuals are interested to join in, please notify the venue (Shooter’s Sports Bar and Billiards, Grayslake Illinois)  before Tuesday, 20Oct2026:7:00pm.  The venue will, in turn, notify the league operator by the final deadline of 8pm on the same night.

The season’s match play officially begins on Thursday, 22Oct2026 at 7:30pm.

The captains/delegates at the meeting participated in a rule change discussion and vote.  Summary of the discussions and changes were implemented:

1. Missing Player average used – when there was a missing player, the highest player’s average was used again to make up the handicap. It was voted to average out the 3 players that are playing and use the average as the fourth player to make up the handicap. The highest player will still only play 2 games just as before.
2. Two players missing – when 2 players are missing, those two players play two full rounds. Those 2 players averages were used twice to make up the handicap, minus the -15 point penalty. It was voted that if the 2 highest handicapped players are playing, there will be an additional -5 point penalty, making it a -20 point penalty. If it’s not the 2 highest players, it will remain the -15 point penalty.
3. ACS and Fargo were voting down again for this season.

RAFFLE Status:

There were 129 chances invested in this evening’s raffle opportunity.

1. Jerry R was the first picked for this season, since being picked week 8 of last season.  He broke dry on table 12.
2. The entire raffle pot rolls over to 2026/27 Winter season’s Week 01.

OTHER:

1. We are at 15 teams, if there are any other teams that would like to sign up, you have until Tuesday, 20Oct2026:7pm to let us know! The deadline for adding/changing players/subs allows until Week 03 at the latest.
2. We will have 3 Thursdays off during the Winter Season….26Nov for Thanksgiving, 24Dec for Christmas Eve and 31Dec for New Year’s Eve.

1. 12 individuals were paired into 6 teams for the Scotch-Doubles tournament.  Norberto E and Eric L were the winners.
   • Norberto & Eric were victorious in the preceding two matches against:
     • John C & Bill T
     • Steve VD & Walter H in the semi-final
   • The team of Ed S and Kevin L won their preceding two matches against:
     • Mona T & Dave G (Goose)
     • Fermin A & Jeff H in the semi-final

RAFFLE Status:

1. John R, Table 14; was selected for the 1st time this season since Summer 2025’s sign-up night. He made the 6-ball in the top left corner pocket. The 7-ball was blocking the 1-ball, but John made a great 2-rail kick, hitting the 1-ball and almost making the 7-ball in the top right corner. He only missed by an inch or so! Great attempt but no money for that!!
2. The entire raffle pot rolls over to next week’s official 2026/27 Winter Season sign-up night!

OTHER:

1. By night’s end, 15 teams were listed on the signup sheets for the 2026/27 Winter season.  Next week is official sign-up night to the Open Public, so we’ll see if any more teams will join in then. Hopefully at least one more so there is no BYE!!
2. The end of season ceremony included the following announcements:
   1. Alex O was the league’s official Top Shooter with a 9.031 points per game average. He was one of the 20 80s this season!
   2. Ben W was recognized with the greatest average-per-game percentage improvement (08.9427%) when comparing final average to the average heading into Week 01. Jerry W was 2nd at 08.2723% and Phil P third at 06.4414%.
   3. Julian F was the player whose final average points per game was closest to what it was at the season’s onset at 0.6786%!
   4. There were 20 perfect 80s this season, compared to 30 last season, but there were 2 extra teams/weeks last season also!
      • Mona T & Craig P each had 3.
      • Scott C & Kevin J both had 2.
      • Julian F, Jerry W, Tony C, Dave K, Dennis S, Alex O, John W, Gerardo F, Norberto E and Nancy all had one this season!
   5. Other stats from this season:
      • 74 of our 79 rostered players had at least one week played, and 16 people played all 13 possible weeks.
      • We had 1 player make his league debut.  Ron K from the Chalkoholics!
      • This whole season was only one pick as agreed upon until the pot can build up. There were 14 (15 counting party night) different people selected in the raffle draws this season.
        • Sean B was picked twice and was able to cash out once.
        • The other 14 picks were all different and Steve VD was the only other to cash-out, both wins totaling over fourteen hundred bucks.
3. The league operator has no prize money left over, so contact your team captain if you didn’t collect your prize money yet.
4. Ten 18″ pizzas were served.
5. A Scotch Doubles Tournament was conducted as mentioned above.

1. Ramiro G, Table 12; was picked for the 1st time since Week 8 for the 2025 Winter season……he made the 2-ball in the right side pocket BUT scratched! :/

OTHER:

1. Behind the 8-ball had a missing player, causing an 8pt HCP decrease, which awarded their opponent Racking My Brain the 8pt Bonus.
2. Rookies only had 2 players, causing the -15 pt penalty and also decreasing their HCP by 8pts, therefore, awarding their opponent Last Game the 8pt Bonus.

RAFFLE Status:

1. Bill T, Table 5; picked for the 1st time this season since week 11 of the 2025 Autumn season, almost made the 7-ball in the right side pocket, but didn’t! Dry break.
2. The entire raffle pot rolls over to our FINAL Week 13.  

OTHER:

1. Behind the 8-ball had a missing player which cause an 8pt HCP decrease, which in turn, awarded the Eclectic Eels the 8pt Bonus!
2. Rookies missing player had no HCP impact.
3. House of Pain and Last Game played each other and both had a missing player, neither having any HCP impact.
4. NOTE ADDITION from last week….Last Game had a missing player which had no HCP impact and no Bonus awarded to PhaCues. John C was the missing player and did not play and did not score 73 as stated in the news. The 73 was scored by the “ghost player”.

RAFFLE Status:

1. Steve VD, Table 9; was selected for the first time this season since being chosen twice (weeks 4 & 14) of last season Spring 2026.  He made two balls on his break and the cue ball left hanging in the bottom left corner pocket. He couldn’t see the 2-ball clearly as the 5-ball was in the way. But he made a fantastic bank on the 2-ball into the top left corner pocket! Not the greatest leave on the 3-ball so he opted for 3/9th of the pot!
2. The remaining raffle pot rolls over to Week 12.  (Still only 1 pick!)

OTHER:

1. Pocket Rattlers had a missing player causing an 8-point HCP decrease. The HCP impact awarded a bonus of 8 points to their opponent House of Pain.  This is applicable as demonstrated by the example described in rule 20.E.i.
2. House of Pain was missing 2 players applying the -15 point penalty. Their HCP impact increased by 16 points, therefore, no bonus was awarded to their opponent Pocket Rattlers.
3. Eclectic Eels had a missing player causing no HCP impact.
4. Behind the 8-Ball had a missing player causing no HCP impact.

1. Mike K, Table 12; Picked for the first time since pizza night of the 2025 Autumn season. He had a great break but nothing wanted to go in! Dry break!

3. Free Agents‘ missing player caused an 8pt HCP increase, which does not allow for the Bonus.
4. Behind the 8-Ball’s missing player also caused an 8pt HCP increase, not allowing for the Bonus!
5. Bill S made his season debut for the Wolff Pack shooting 52!
6. Paul posted this a while ago and figured I would repost for you:          A couple of rule questions arose.
   A) Cue-ball kissing object ball is absolutely low-risk for a double hit foul when stroking straight through it.  A foul is still possible of course, but low-risk.
   B) Disturbed ball:
   Definition: A ball that has been accidentally touched or moved by the player’s body, clothing or equipment.
   BCA Rule 1-33, subpoint 1 (League operator inserted the a and b for later clarification):
   a) During a game, it is not a foul if you accidentally touch or move a single stationary object ball with any part of your body, clothing or equipment,
   b) unless the disturbed ball has an effect on the outcome of the shot.
   BCA Rule 1-33, subpoint 7: It is a foul if:
   a. you disturb the cue ball;
   b. you disturb more than one object ball;
   c. a disturbed ball contacts any other ball;
   d. you disturb a ball that is in motion
   And for each of these except subpoint 1a, restoring the disturbed ball(s) to original position is forbidden.

1. Last Game has a missing player but had no HCP impact.
2. Phil S made his season debut for Racking My Brain and scored 47.
3. Jeff L made his season debut for the Scorpions scoring 64.
4. Ed S did not use his aura to select Robert S for the 1st raffle.
5. The second set of payment envelopes will be available next week. Please double-check to make sure all is correct!

RAFFLE Status:

1. 1. Jerry R, Table 10; (1st time picked since sign-up night of the 2025 Winter season) sank 2 balls on the break. He was left with a tough long cut on the 1-ball up in the top right corner pocket, or what looked like an easier 1-5 combo in the side. He tried for the combo, the 5 almost went in, but didn’t, and then the cue ball almost knocked the 1-ball in that same side pocket, but didn’t. No cash out this time.
   2. The entire pot rolls onward to Week 09. (Still only one pick!)

OTHER:

1. 1. Eclectic Eels had a missing player which caused an 8pt HCP decrease, therefore, awarding the Rookies an 8pt Bonus.
   2. Reminder from the venue: There is no outside ALCOHOL allowed in Shooters. They count on your patronage to stay in business for our enjoyment.

RAFFLE Status:

1. Sean B, Table 13; second time picked since week 01 of this season.    The 9-ball, looking like it might hang up, slow rolled into the bottom right corner. His first shot on the 1-ball was not an easy start shot but he made it look easy getting perfect position on the 2-ball straight-in to the top left corner pocket. 3-ball straight-in the right side, came of the rail nicely for the 4-ball. He drew the cue ball perfectly to come back for the 5-ball in the top right corner and had just enough angle to come back for the 6-ball in the right side. But he didn’t like the angle and stopped for 6/9ths of the pot!
2. The remaining raffle pot rolls over to Week 08. – staying at 1 pick for a while longer!!!

OTHER:

1. Rookies had one absence for an 8 point HCP reduction, thereby awarding an 8 point bonus to their House of Pain opponent.
