Noteworthy events from 2022 Autumn Week 14

Outstanding outing(s):

  1. A perfect 80 score tonight by Bill F, Steve V, and Steve’s teammates John R and Immer H.
  2. Mona T shot a 76 to reclaim Top Shooter status (for now).
  3. Mike K totaled 75.

RAFFLE Status:

  1. Sal H was absent so his button-press authority went to TJ B.  Allie C was selected and broke dry on Table 05.
  2. Mona T also broke dry, but on Table 12.
  3. The rapidly-growing raffle pot rolls over to Week 15.

OTHER:

  1. Ramiro G returned from a 4-week absence and scored a 73.
  2. H.W.G.A. Rejects incurred a 15-point penalty by virtue of rule 20.D (i.e., two players missing)
    • Their opponent (Should Be Out) picked up an 8-point benefit by virtue of the example described in rule 20.E.i.
  3. Another benefactor of the example described in rule 20.E.i. was Double Focus.
  4. Reminder that Rule 6B is an encouragement to record each score after each game. And although it isn’t specified to cross-check at that moment, it wouldn’t hurt to do so.  Drudging up detailed memories of a specific game at night’s end is far more difficult.
  5. This was our second snowy Thursday of this season, although it had ceased falling by the time Ed S caused the final 8-ball of the night to fall into a Table 15 pocket.
