The official signup night for the general public happened on 20Jan2022. After all the sheets were collected around 9pm, there were a total of 10 teams and two individuals still looking for a team. If there are two additional individuals available, please notify the venue (Shooter’s Sports Bar and Billiards, Grayslake Illinois) before Tuesday, 25Jan2022::7:00pm. The same instruction is extended to other four-to-six person teams.
The season’s match play officially begins on Thursday, 27Jan2022 at 7:30pm. Rostered individuals who have not yet paid their $15 ACS Sanctioning fee (see rule #2) will need to do so at the time they play their first match this season.
10 captains/delegates participated in a rule change discussion/debate/vote.
Key points changes resulting from it: None. Therefore, all rules from the preceding season (2021 Autumn) carry forward unchanged into this season.
Raffle Status:
- Julian F had his request honored by clicking the button to finish the randomization process and Nancy K was selected. She broke dry on Table 06.
- Dave G (nicknamed Goose) sank the 1-ball on his Table 02 break. The cue-ball settled in the racking area and a slice of the 2-ball was available toward the south side pocket. The 3-ball was begging to be sunk into the southwest corner pocket. All that’s needed is a successful 2-ball deposit and Dave will be able to cash out for a third of the pot. Didn’t happen.
- The raffle pot rolls over to Week 01.
Other notes:
- Don P returned after about a 2-year absence and joined as a sub on the Less Finesse roster – although the team name’s first word was spelled on the roster signup sheet with only one “s.” We’ll find out on Wednesday night whether or not it was an error Or maybe the error was the spelling of the 2nd word instead of Miserables.
- Adrian P returned after a longer than 2-year absence and was signed up as a sub on the team formerly named Bet on Bob.
