Outstanding outing(s):
- Larry P, Esteban Q, and the ..Behind.. teammates of Joe L and Nancy K each tallied a perfect 80.
- Mona T, Bryan W, and Romy G each shot a 77.
- Edgar A and Lito G each finished with 76 points.
RAFFLE Status:
- Nancy K made one on her Table 15 break. The 1-ball was snug midway on the southwest rail. The cue-ball was a little west and a little south of the north side pocket. She sank the 1-ball with authority. The cue-ball ricocheted to the northwest rail, and caromed with steadily decreasing speed toward the southwest rail. But that darn southwest corner pocket vacuumed the cue-ball right into the ball return.
- Steve G: Broke on Table 09 and sank the 8-ball in the north side pocket. The cue-ball settled midway on the northeast rail. The 1-ball was several inches south and east of the northwest corner but the angle was no good for a cut shot (unless Sultan S was shooting). Steve went for the bank, but the river was dry.
- The entire raffle pot rolls over to Week 11.
OTHER:
- With five weeks of matches remaining, the standings-leader Road Warriors increased their separation from the pack. They partly did it by handing out six zeros to this evening’s opponents – including half of them to one person.
- There Goes My 80 had a brief identity crisis until the scoresheets were adjusted with the corrected player names.
- The Motley Cue team picked up a bonus 8 points based on the scenario described in rule 20.E’s example i.
- The It’s Straight In fan club had significant attendance tonight.
- The final three games of the night (all of which pitted Back Behind the 8-Ball versus Racking My Brain) were played amidst jukebox choices that would be good for torturing a worst enemy.
- A couple of our players signed up for the ACS Illinois State tourney to be played in Quincy, Illinois inclusively between March 15 and 19.
- ACS paraphernalia (member cards, rule books, and patches) were distributed to the people in attendance who had joined during this season.
