The official signup for the general public concluded with 17 teams enrolled. The season will end on 26Feb2026’s Party night. Also, because we’ll have more than 14 teams playing each week, there will be 7-foot tables included in this season’s schedule. There will also be 3 Thursdays that we will not play, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

If any other individuals are interested to join in, please notify the venue (Shooter’s Sports Bar and Billiards, Grayslake Illinois)  before Tuesday, 07Oct2025::7:00pm.  The venue will, in turn, notify the league operator by the final deadline of 8pm on the same night.

The season’s match play officially begins on Thursday, 09Oct2025 at 7:30pm.

The captains/delegates at the meeting participated in a rule change discussion and vote.  Summary of the discussions, but no changes were implemented:

  3. FARGO Participation. It was brought up to me by a few people to have the FARGO rating for our league. That was also voted NO by a large majority.
  4. Raffle Suggestion. It was suggested that for the Break & Run raffle, that if ANY ball/s were made on the break, and you didn’t have a decent shot to shoot, you can quit and get paid a flat payout of $50. That was also voted NO.

  2. Roy S and Nancy K each shot 77.
  3. Steve VD, Zane E and Jerry R each tallied 76.

RAFFLE Status:

  1. Jimmy S, Table 12; was picked for the first time this season.  Didn’t look too good until the 8-ball kissed the 1-ball into the rail and forced it into the bottom left corner pocket. Perfect shot for the 2-ball, easy peasy. Came up nicely for the 3-ball in the side pocket, however, trying for shapes on the 4-ball the cue ball slightly kissed the 4-ball coming back up from the top rail, making it a harder cut shot. Chose to take 3/9ths of the pot!
  2. Braxton L, Table 8; strong break, 4-ball almost in the side and 6-ball almost in the corner but still came out with a dry break.
  3. The remainder is available for Week 16’s party night.

OTHER:

  1. Brawny Beavers had a BYE week and couldn’t add to their point total, however, they still moved up from 13th place to tying at 11th place! Nice move!

The 1-ball was just inches from the left foot corner pocket just off the long rail and the cue ball sat near the opposite side pocket just inches from the pocket and just off the rail also. He spun it just a little too much and was denied!

  2. Nancy K, Table 8; (picked for the 2nd time this season) made the 4-ball, at the last second, in the left side pocket. The 1-ball was on the rail about a diamond from the side pocket and the cue ball across from it about 6 inches in front of the other side pocket.
