- 14 teams currently signed up. There were 15, but one dissolved. Perhaps they’ll return for the Autumn season. The League Operator is making a shift such that there will now be 7 teams per division; this also means that each division will have a BYE team scheduled each week.
- Deadline is PAST now. Was Tuesday 7pm (30July). Subs can remain to be added between now and Aug 22nd.
- First week of competition will be Thursday, August 1st. The teams will be split into two entirely-independent divisions playing simultaneously each week just like we did in Spring of 2018. This enables the season to end 26September2019.
- Rules, party night, raffle, and services (including this website) will be shared by both;
- Prize pool, schedule, standings, and designated tables will be distinct per division.
The following are rule changes adopted by captains’ vote for this Summer 2019 season. They are already elaborated in the League Rules link elsewhere on this site:
- Rule 18 revised from $15 to $20 for weekly fee per player. The additional $5 goes directly into the prize pool. Better for league longevity and enhances party-night enjoyment for all.
- Rule 19 revised such that raffle tickets will not be used anymore. Selections will be made instead using Microsoft Excel’s randomization function.
- Jim McC was added as a league officer replacing Kevin P who is absent this season.
Outstanding outing(s):
-
- Not applicable
RAFFLE Status:
- Roy S was the first Excel-randomized selection. Great break including a sunken ball and shapes on the 1-ball. Made it; made the deuce. Missed the 3; all observers were shocked.
- Kevin C broke dry
- The available pot rolls over to Summer 2019 Week 1.
Other:
- Ten names on the rosters so far have not played in our league before.
