Noteworthy events from 2022 Summer Week 14 (Party)

Outstanding outing(s):

  1. The final Scotch-Doubles tournament match (after 15 teams were enrolled) began at about 11:03pm and ended at about 11:20pm. The team of Dennis S and Michael L won two games to none over the team of Steve G and Jeff H.
    • Steve & Jeff were victorious in the preceding three matches against:
      • Tim B & Wes P
      • Jim McC & Rob F
      • Romy G & Bob C (also teammates in last season’s tournament)
    • Dennis & Michael won their preceding three matches against:
      • Lito G & Crus A
      • Julian F & Sal H
      • Kevin C & Allie C

RAFFLE Status:

  1. Nancy K broke dry on Table 02.
  2. Allie C had only her unyielding break shot on Table 12.
  3. The entire raffle pot rolls over to next week’s official 2022 Autumn Season sign-up night!

OTHER:

  1. The end of season ceremony included the following announcements:
    • The It’s Straight In team finished in 1st place earning 22.5% of the season’s pot.
    • Julian F was the league’s official Top Shooter with a 9.219 points per game average.
      • He also won the top-shooter Side-Pot against seven competitors.
    • David F was recognized with the greatest average-per-game percentage improvement (12.67) when comparing final average to that heading into Week 01.
    • Other stats from this season:
      1. 69 of our 74 rostered players had at least one week played.
      2. We had 6 players make their league debuts.
      3. 20 different people were selected in the raffle draws this season. Five cashed-in winnings – Tim B the only one who did it twice.
      4. There were 13 teams that played 12 team vs team matches this season. Total = 156 matches. There was a total of 22 person-absences.
        • 6 of those 22 absences were for the player ranked fourth on the team at the time.
        • 8 of the 22 were ranked 3rd
        • 6 were ranked 2nd
        • 2 were ranked 1st.
        • All told, Motley Cue was the opponent 5 times, Never Satisfied huh? was 4 times.
  2. Eight 18″ pizzas were devoured in less than 90 minutes.
  3. Contact your captains if you didn’t collect your prize money yet from the 2022 Summer season.
  4. Three teams from our past, who were not among this season’s teams, have signed up again for the upcoming season.
  5. On our previous season-ending party night, we were accompanied by a special event involving people with significantly-limited hearing ability. This night was quite the opposite.
  6. Dennis S provided an array of inflated, colorful, arched balloons!
