Noteworthy events from Autumn Week 18 (Party)

Outstanding outing(s):

  1. One of the two tournaments ended with a 1-gamer for bragging rights and a wee percentage of the available pot – after equally splitting the pot majority.  Larry/Ramiro won that game over Johnny/Julian.
  2. In the other tournament Thompson+McCauley was one team chopping the pot equally with Jon W+Brian G.
  3. That was McCauley’s 2nd consecutive tournament final appearance.

RAFFLE Status:

  1. Ramiro G was selected and also cashed in for the 2nd consecutive week.
  2. The league’s top shooter (Tim C) got picked, but his break shot left the cueball at the footspot with an object ball leaning on its hind-side.  The 1-ball had a clear path into the Southwest corner pocket, but the hinderance proved to be too difficult to overcome.  Valiant effort, though, the way Tim used a bridge.
  3. Remaining pot rolls over to Spring 2020 signup night.

Other:

  1. Awards were presented although the megaphone’s limited battery-power hampered the audibility.
  2. 34 players participated in two tournaments.
  3. Twelve 18-inch pizzas eventually satisfied the majority of attendees.
