The captains recently voted to cancel the 2020 Spring Season due primarily to the uncertainty of when the Earth and its inhabitants deem it safe again to gather competitively over a pool table. Please keep an eye on this website’s Latest News link for applicable announcements.
This was our league’s first season cancellation since the 6th week of our 2009 Autumn season after which our venue at the time shut its doors forever.
Regarding Spring 2020: the first three weeks of play were conducted successfully, but that isn’t enough sample size to justify positional payouts. Therefore, partial* refunds* will be made available within two weeks (targeting completion by 19Apr2020). Timings and locations will be communicated to team captains and relayed accordingly to their team members.
*partial refunds are calculated as follows:
- $10 to league members who already paid ACS Sanction fees explicitly this 2020 Spring Season.
- $11 per individual for each of weeks 1, 2, and 3 – if and only if entry fees for each such week were paid; the other $9 per week were already consumed as fees by the services of the League Operator and the hosting venue.
- All pre-payment dollars per individual who submitted them for any of week 4 through and including week 15
- Subtractions will be made from the items above to cover League Operator+venue fees for any regular who did not have a substitute covering the fee for a week that the regular missed in weeks 1, 2, or 3. If insufficient funds are available for that subtraction, those will be noted as owed fees payable in the next season the individual participates.
