Noteworthy events from 2022 Winter Week 10

Outstanding outing(s):

  1. Bob C dealt out a pair of sevens against his opponents for the top score this week.
  2. Mona T scored 76.
  3. Bryan W shot a 75.

RAFFLE Status:

  1. Wes P sank the 1-ball when he broke on Table 07.  He then sank the 2-ball and paused quite a bit when eyeing the 3-ball.  He chose to shoot – and made it in the southeast corner pocket.  The cue-ball caromed out to approximately mid-table, but the cut on the 4-ball to the southwest corner had too high a risk for scratching in the south side pocket.  So Wes cashed out for one third of the available pot.
  2. James W broke dry on Table 14.
  3. The remaining raffle pot rolls over to Week 11.  

OTHER:

  1. Fermin A had an interesting shot on Table 02. Two stripes and two solids were clustered almost like a tight diamond about a foot southeast of the northwest corner pocket, but there was no obvious combo available.  Fermin called the 15 and after a good hit and all four balls collided together, the 15-ball went straight into the NW corner pocket.
  2. ACS paraphernalia was handed out to three individuals.  This leaves just Adrian P, Andreas R, and Terry N unprovided from this season.  NOTE: The current ACS calendar year will be ending on May 31st.  To this author’s knowledge, we only have two individuals registered for the Illinois State tournament and none at all for the Nationals.
