- Kevin C had the only perfect 80 – not including the other 64 points he scored on behalf of one missing teammate.
- Steve G scored 75 points.
- Mona T and Jeff H each tallied 73.
RAFFLE Status:
- Tim B got to press the button this time and selected Julian.
- Julian sank the 2-ball on his Table 04 break into the northwest corner.
- The 1-ball was an inch and a half from near-center of the east rail.
- The cue-ball was set at about the base of the rack.
- The 9-ball was a tasty target sitting near the southwest corner.
- Julian cut the 1 toward the southeast corner. Ehhh, no big deal. The excitement was that the cue-ball caromed off the east rail toward the 9, but hit just south of it against the rail.
- No balls dropped into pockets.
- Julian’s button-press picked one of the three individuals who had only invested the minimum entry amount. And Jim M’s dollar bill had a small hole in it. Jim had just won a positional struggle in a league game against Ed S on Table 14. His 9-ball break was unfortunately dry.
- The entire raffle pot rolls over to Week 10.
OTHER:
- During this night, summer handed the seasonal baton to autumn. Two of our teams only had two players and thereby each of those teams suffered the 15-point penalty described in our rule 20.D.
- Mona T’s 73 brought him into an exact point-for-point tie for league top-shooter with Julian F (scored 68). They have not yet played against each other this season.
- Allie C’s team played muy rapido against It’s Straight In.
- Lew M welcomed all to vie against him on the BYE table.
- Bill F made his season debut with a 68 for the Feast or Famine team. It was Bill’s first match in our league since sometime in the 20teens.
