Outstanding outing(s):
- Larry P, Kevin C, and Frank C each ended with a perfect 80. In Larry’s case, it was his 2nd in two weeks played and he therefore remains undefeated this season.
- Phil P shot a 77.
- Julian F, Lito G, and Chris V each scored 76. That’s Chris’ best score in his brief 3-week tenure in our league thus far.
RAFFLE Status:
- Nancy K, Table 04: Made the 2-ball on the break. Had a straight on 1-ball long distance. Sank it in the NE corner with enough follow to get good shape on the 3-ball hanging close to the NW corner. Sank it and cashed out for one third of the available pot.
- Wes P, Table 10: Made the 4-ball on the break. Was left with an extremely thin slice on the 1-ball into the south side pocket. Made it. The cue-ball caromed around the table and stopped with unappealing shapes on the 2-ball. Wes cashed out for 2/9ths of the available pot.
- The remaining raffle pot rolls over to Week 04. It has diminished quite a bit in our last two weeks of action with a total of 10 balls cashed in during those outings.
OTHER:
- Creepy Bullys one-player absence resulted in an 8-point bonus to their Wolff Pack opponents.
- It was the league debut for Jon B of Big Slick. He scored a 57 against Free Agents.
- Season debuts for returning players included Mark H, Terry N, AC C, and Eric C.
- Enrollment for the Top Shooter side-pot competition is now closed. Mona T sealed his guaranteed victory because nobody else went into it against him.
- Roster changes since the conclusion of Week 02:
- Lex S replaced Jon W on One Way – Upward.
- Steve G and Jon B were added to Big Slick.
- Jim O was added to Scorpions.
- The deadline is now passed for naming dedicated subs on the rosters. Rule 20.F criteria are now the only ones with which to adjust rosters.
- Road Warriors zeroed in on their opponent Pocket Rattlers 7 of the 32 games this week. Larry P doled out 4 of them. Captain Jim M was the only Rattler to escape a shutout.
- Of those who have played all three weeks, Dave F of Creepy Bullys has demonstrated the greatest consistency thus far this season. Weekly scores: 62, 63, and 62.
- Venue news: Brandon made his Shooter’s debut working the front counter and the Will Rock radio station provided “live” musical entertainment.
