Outstanding outing(s):
- Road Warriors teammates Larry P and Mona T each had the only perfect 80 score.
- Bryan W and Micah N each scored 77 points.
- Julian F tallied 76.
- NOTE: All four Road Warriors are mentioned above with Micah N (Sharp Shooter’s) being the exception.
RAFFLE Status:
- Andrew S, Table 08: Selected for the first time this season. There were lots of bouncing balls after the break impact, but none dropped into a pocket. End result = Dry break.
- Robert S, Table 06: Selected for the first time this season. Romy racked. Robert snapped the 6-ball into the SE corner on the break.
- The cue-ball rested just north of the south side pocket.
- The 8-ball threatened to roll in front of it, but didn’t.
- The 1-ball was positioned at a makeable angle to the NE corner.
- Robert got down on the shot.
- His practice strokes had a lot of energy but his eventual real stroke was soft, as if he had changed his mind during the stroke, and the 1-ball ambled into a collision with the east rail for a miss.
- The entire raffle pot rolls over to Week 10.
OTHER:
- Behind the 8-Ball had a missing player which caused an HCP variance of negative 16. The inverse was therefore awarded as a bonus to opponent One Way- Upward.
- Tony C made his season debut and scored 60 for Wolff Pack.
- Other returns after multiple weeks of absence included Allie C, Paul S, Cristina C, Wes P, Mike M, Lisa L, and Mark D.
- ACS paraphernalia (membership cards, rule books, etc.) has arrived and its distribution will transpire over the next few weeks. There are still league members who have not yet paid the sanction fee ($15).
- Rule 20.A was discussed by some players this evening. The applicable portion is therefore displayed here for easy reference: If the absent player’s absence is known prior to a scheduled match, the player can “make up” games with the scheduled opponents prior to the scheduled week’s match – assuming that an agreeable time can be arranged.
