Noteworthy events from 2023_4 Winter Week 08

Outstanding outing(s):

  1. Frank C scored a perfect 80.
  2. Scott C and Julian F each shot a 77.
  3. Mark H and Alejandro T each had 76.

RAFFLE Status:

  1. Bill T, Table 02: Dry break, but no scratch this time!!!
  2. Frank C, Table 03: Also a dry break.
  3. Irony Alert: Both of these players selected each other.  Frank had the role to  select because of Kevin J’s absence.
  4. The entire raffle pot rolls over to Week 09.

OTHER:

  1. Crazy Crabs and Big Slick, opponents on this night, each had one absent player causing a negative HCP variance and thereby awarding 8 bonus points to each other.
  2. There Goes My 80 had one absent player causing a more significant negative HCP variance and thereby awarded 24 bonus points to their PhaCues opponent.
  3. One of our long-time players (Bill S most recently with the Free Agents roster) passed away on New Years eve from diminished health and a brief tribute was announced at the venue.
    • Bill joined our league back in the 1980’s at our original venue and will be dearly missed.
    • Although very competitive on the pool tables, Bill was 100% kind and gentlemanly.
