Outstanding outing(s):
- The final match of the Scotch Doubles tournament was between the Romy G & Wes P team (Romy’s 2nd consecutive appearance, by the way) versus the Jon W & Nancy K team. They agreed to evenly split the prize money equally among the four players without even racking.
RAFFLE Status:
- Brandon D who was the final person to invest in the opportunity, was the first one selected. He made one on the break but was unable to make the subsequent shot.
- Brandon D was selected for the 2nd opportunity also, but broke dry.
- The pot rolls over to next season.
OTHER:
The end-of-season ceremony was brief, but included the following acknowledgments:

- thank you recognition for the only new player (Brian F) who joined this season
- Nuthin’ But a Stroke won the 1st Place Team title for the 2nd consecutive season and a nameplate was added accordingly to the Thursday Night 8-Ball League plaque in the Shooter’s entrance hallway.
- Kevin C finished with the highest average and a nameplate was also added accordingly.
- Mona T, Sean B, and Tom Bon had the highest percentage increase in points-per-game average relative to the beginning of the season.
- Lito G actually finished higher in both of those categories, but didn’t qualify because he played fewer than our minimum number of qualifying weeks.
- Prize money was handed out relative to the standings placement of each team.
- Pizza was served and the League Operator learned by the night’s end that pepperoni was not popular this season.
- The raffle was conducted as described earlier in this post.
- The Scotch Doubles tournament was conducted among 16 players who signed up. A race to 3 format was chosen and it proved to run too late.
Five of the incumbent teams took advantage to sign-up early for the upcoming Winter 2020/1 season. The sign-up sheets will be made available again to the open public at a to-be-determined future date. The League Operator will notify recent team captains of that date through email or text or both, and will also post that date in a future Latest News post on this website – stay tuned.
