Noteworthy events from Autumn Week 11

Outstanding outing(s):

  1. Perfect 80 scores were accomplished by:
    • Kevin C
    • Tim B from Los Chingones (only week played this season)
    • Doug L (1st time ever in our league)
  2. Chris O, Julian F, Tony E, and Mike H each shot a 77.
  3. Tom B from Go Fuck… and Ed S each shot a 76.
  4. Eric M stopped Tim C’s consecutive-game winning streak at 26.

RAFFLE Status:

  1. Nancy K, selected for the 4th time this season, cashed in for the first time.  The break shot almost didn’t qualify except that the 4-ball finally dropped in what seemed like slow motion.  She popped in the 1-ball with ease, but shapes on the 2-ball was too foreboding.
  2. Kevin C broke dry on the same table that Nancy had used.
  3. The remaining raffle pot rolls over to week 12.
  4. The raffle chances sold this week eclipsed the previous record for this season by 10.98%.  The 28 “extra” happened to exactly match the BYE team’s contribution.

OTHER:

  1. Eric M, already mentioned above, had to play his first week ever in our league against the Road Warriors.  Welcome!
  2. The Shebrew Shammers managed to lower their players-per-week average to 2.818.  Please remember that Jon W is typically reachable by phone.
  3. Yes – there are matches scheduled in Week 12 on the day after New Year’s.  Happy New Year to all.
  4. The 2020 ACS MIDWEST 8-Ball Championships are available Jan 15-19 at the RiverCenter Convention Center in Davenport, Iowa.
