Approximately 20 people were present from the league.
Signups resulted in 5 teams by the end of the night with a 6th still considering its participation.
Captains gathered and voted upon rule changes among other things.
Key points:
1) The season will begin on Thursday 23July.
2) Any other teams are welcome to join, but the deadline to notify the League Operator is Tuesday 21July::8PM Chicago time. That same deadline also applies to roster changes among the already signed-up 5 teams. Sub-additions (to a max of 2 per team) are allowed through week 3 by virtue of rule 20-B.
3) We will forsake ACS sanctioning, so rule 2 will be eliminated from the rules of Summer 2020. Those rules are not yet posted, however.
4) We chose to keep rule 7C as it is written
5) We agreed to a revised rule 24 which will now stipulate that at least a 3rd of the season will need to have been played for prize money to be awarded based on standings. The rule, when fully-written will be a bit more elaborate than that regarding detail, but that’s the gist of it. This was adopted because the cancellation of our Spring season may well happen again.
Both raffle selections (Sean B and Eric C) broke dry and therefore the raffle pot rolls over to Opening Night of the Summer 2020 season (July 23rd).
In a subsequent vote at the time of roster deadline, the five team captains elected to drop the party-night tournament budget and the trophies budget for this season. The food budget remained intact (3-2 on that one, the other categories weren’t close).
