RAFFLE Status:
- Julian F shot a firm break on Table 09. Balls spread well, one of them dropped, the cue ball settled slightly northwest of the foot spot, and the 1-ball was looking dead-on into the southwest pocket. That wasn’t the end of the break, though. The 6-ball decided that the 1-ball was a magnet and lodged itself like glue and prevented a direct hit. Julian gasped, regained composure, and failed to kick into the 1-ball successfully.
- Joe L was selected for the first time ever. His debut was a scratched break. His immediate reaction: “I never scratch on a 9-ball break!!”
- The raffle pot rolls over to Week 06.
OTHER:
- This week was originally scheduled as the final match of the season, but it is officially only the halfway point. Each preceding week’s matches will be iterated one more time although in a different sequence. We now have our 4th different first-place team this season
- Wolf Pack was the 1st first-place team this season and has subsequently ousted each subsequent 1st-place team (Diamond Cutters 2 weeks ago, Racking my Brain this week) and will face the current first-place team Fauci’s Bitches next week. Ironically, those Bitches were the team that displaced that Pack in Week 03’s battle of the canines.
- There were a lot of loudly-expressed F words tonight.
- The venue provided a brand new megaphone to aid announcements. It therefore replaces the previous version that has “the dangling handle.” The new one has some great features which include:

- a microphone-activation switch exactly at the grasping point of the handle
- a feedback-reduction capability
